Studying on a Queen's Formal Exchange, at the BISC or Outside of Kingston

OSAP funding is issued to students in the form of either a funding certificate or a grant cheque (based on eligibility).  Students must pick up their funding certificates and/or grant cheques from the Student Awards Office.  However, students participating in a Queen's formal exchange, studying at the BISC or studying outside of Kingston (e.g. correspondence studies, placement) will not be able to pick up either one or both of their OSAP funding certificates in person.  Depending on your situation you can make alternate arrangements with the Student Awards Office for processing your OSAP funding.  If you are making arrangements to have your OSAP funding certificate(s) mailed to you you must make these arrangements well in advance of the last day of your study period.  Funding certificates cannot be released after the last day of your study period. Use the table below to identify your situation.

Use the table below to select which situation you fit into.  We strongly recommend that students make arrangements with the Student Awards Office for the processing of their OSAP funding PRIOR TO LEAVING CANADA (if applicable).

SITUATION

SITUATION 1:I CAN come to the Student Awards Office to pick up both my first and second installments of OSAP.

SITUATION 2:I CANNOT come to the Student Awards Office to pick up my first and/or second installment of OSAP, but I will be in Canada in BOTH late August and during the mid-year break.

SITUATION 3:I CANNOT come to the Student Awards Office to pick up my first and/or second installment of OSAP.  I will be in Canada in EITHER late August or during the mid-year break, but not both.

SITUATION 4:I CANNOT come to the Student Awards Office to pick up both my first and second installment of OSAP and will NOT be in Canada in both late August and during the mid-year break.
