Queen's attracts a community of outstanding student scholars from across the globe. To reward the high level of academic excellence displayed by many of our incoming International and U.S. students, Queen's offers a range of scholarships to students entering the first year of any first-entry undergraduate program of study.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for most International Admission Scholarships and Awards you must be:

• an international student (Canadian citizens, including those students holding dual-citizenship, and permanent residents do not qualify for these awards)
• entering the first year of post-secondary education for the first time (graduates from a 2-year CEGEP program transferring into their second year of a Queen's program remain eligible for Admission Scholarships and Awards)

Canadian citizens, those holding dual-citizenship, and Permanent Residents of Canada should visit the Admission Scholarships section for further information on scholarships and awards for incoming first-year domestic students.

Academic Average Calculation:

Unless otherwise stated, the awards average outlined below is used for scholarship consideration:

• Ontario curriculum (OSSD Curriculum) students:

Minimum 3 Grade 12U courses including English 4U and 3 additional 4U or 4M courses.

• Other Canadian Province/Territory curriculum students:

Grade 12 academic subjects as defined in the General Admission requirements for the Bachelor of Arts program.

• Students studying in other education systems:

The Awards Average is calculated in a manner consistent with the calculation and criteria used for admission purposes.

Automatic Admission Scholarships (no application required):

Recipients of these scholarships will be selected automatically. By applying for admission to Queen's all eligible applicants are automatically considered for the following admission scholarships:

PRINCIPAL'S SCHOLARSHIP  Total Value: $8,000

EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP Total Value Range: $1,500 - $2,000

QUEEN'S UNIVERSITY INTERNATIONAL ADMISSION SCHOLARSHIP  Total Value = $9,000

PRINCIPAL'S INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP - INDIA Must be considered citizens of India  Total Value = $20,000

Duration	Renewable for 1 subsequent year provided a minimum 3.70 GPA is maintained in a full course load in year one.

MEHRAN BIBI SHEIKH MEMORIAL ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIP Total Value = $1,500
Program of Study	All
Criteria	Academic excellence Awarded to 1 male and 1 female student Preference will be given to international students who have Pakistani citizenship Note: If there is not an eligible male and female student then the scholarship will be awarded to 2 students of the same gender.  If there are no eligible Pakistani students then the scholarship will be awarded to eligible male and female international students.

Award for Visiting International Students (students participating in an exchange to Queen's):

The Prince Takamado Visiting Student Scholarship at Queen's University is awarded to a second or third-year student of Japanese nationality (citizen) who is currently enrolled in a Japanese university, and who will study at Queen's University on a Letter of Permission from their home university.

THE PRINCE TAKAMADO VISTING STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP   Total Value = tuition, fees, residence, and basic living expenses to a maximum of $30,000 CND
Program of Study	All
Criteria	Second or third year student of Japanese nationality (citizen) currently enrolled at a Japanese university Studying at Queen's University on an International Letter of Permission
Duration	1 academic year
Annual Value	Tuition, fees, residence and basic living expenses to a maximum of $30,000 CND
