Resources and Information for Parents or Guardians
As your student begins their studies at Queen’s, they will embark on a journey marked by intellectual and personal growth that will shape the rest of their life - a truly exciting, fun, challenging, sometimes frightening, exhilarating, self-defining adventure! No doubt your family will have new experiences as well.
As an adult, your student has the primary responsibility for interacting with the University. They are directly responsible for managing their education, including knowing and following university policies and procedures, seeking academic support when needed, paying fees, etc.
Students do, of course, still look to their parents or guardians for help and guidance. Please visit this comprehensive guide for parents and guardians for links to resources, as well as information on student transition issues. Also, be sure to visit our parent orientation sessions on Move-In Day.
