2014 Author Event 

Thank you to everyone who attended our author event.  It was such a pleasure welcoming Vincent Lam to campus -- we hope you had as enjoyable an afternoon as we did!

Vincent Lam Public Lecture, Q&A and Book Signing

September 27th, 2:00-3:30 (Grant Hall)

As part of this year's Queen's Reads program, which features the Giller Prize winning book Bloodletting and Miraculous Cures, Dr. Vincent Lam will be visiting the Queen's campus for a special event on Saturday, September 27. Dr. Lam will be giving a public lecture followed by a Q&A period, as well as a book signing.

The event is open to all Queen's students, staff, faculty, alumni, and community members. Students will be able to attend this author event for FREE by showing a valid student ID card. Staff, faculty, alumni, and community members are invited to purchase a ticket to the event. Buy your ticket now for $10.00 each (general admission).

Important Ticket Information

Before you are able to register for the Queen's Reads Author Talk, you must create an account with the registration system.

  • To create an account, click on "New User Registration" and enter your information.
  • If you have previously created an account to register for the Summer Orientation to Academics and Resources (SOAR) or program, simply login with this information.
  • After you have created your account (or logged in), you will be directed to a page which will allow you to add the "2014 Author Event featuring Dr. Vincent Lam" program to your shopping cart.

Are you a first year Queen's student?

You can still opt-in to the Queen's Reads program here. Following the public lecture, you will have the opportunity to participate in discussion groups led by Queen's professors! You can expect the following itinerary. 

2:00-3:30 Public Lecture / Q&A with Vincent Lam
3:30-4:30 Discussion Groups
4:30-6:00 Reception / Gallery and Book Signing with Vincent Lam
