Health Services offers booked physician appointments for students seeking prescription renewals, STI testing, PAP smears, mental health assessment, psychotherapy, referrals and third party-physicals. Queen's has a convenient on-campus pharmacy called Drugsmart Pharmacy where students can go to pick up their prescriptions. It is located in the Athletics and Recreation Centre (ARC).
If you are currently being followed by your family physician for ongoing health concerns, it is recommended that you obtain a copy of your medical records to bring with you when you begin seeing a physician at Student Health.
Nursing appointments are available for allergy injections, immunizations, flu shots and routine blood work.
When appointments are made, students will be asked the reason for seeing the doctor or nurse to ensure that the appointment is booked for the appropriate amount of time to address the issue.
Health Services also offers a walk in clinic for urgent issues (from September to mid April) for those students who must be seen as soon as possible. Please note that none of the services listed above are considered emergencies, and are not covered by the walk-in clinic. During Spring and summer, please contact the clinic if you are in need of a same day appointment.
