Since 1970, our rigorous and well-focused two-year Master of Planning (M.PL.) program allows our students to develop the knowledge and skills they require to become leaders in the planning field and to meet the challenges of a rapidly evolving urban environment.

An Applied "Hands-On" Professional Planning Program

In today's rapidly changing urban environment, public and private organizations are faced with many issues that require professionals with a variety of sophisticated skills and knowledge. Our planning programme prepares students to address these issues in a systematic and interdisciplinary manner. The School of Urban and Regional Planning at Queen's University is committed to training students with the skills necessary to succeed as a professional planner. The graduate program is designed to encourage the integration of theory and practice, critical thinking and interdisciplinary teamwork in problem solving as well as to facilitate important partnerships with public and private organizations.
