The second annual Energy Conservation Week runs from May 17 to 23, 2009. Throughout the week, Ontarians in cities and towns across the province will be conserving energy, saving money and reducing greenhouse gases in a variety of ways.
Energy Conservation Week is an Ontario-wide initiative sponsored by several key agencies including the Ontario Government and Ontario Power Authority (OPA.) The initiative was developed to engage and excite the citizens of Ontario to participate in creating a culture of conservation in the province and play a role in meeting the toughest energy reduction targets in North America.
The motto “Count Me In!” speaks to the importance of individual impact and the power of collective action.
