From the Ground up:  Planting seeds for our sustainable future

Ban Righ Centre
32 Bader Lane
Wednesday October 19, noon - 1 pm
Speaker:  Susan Belyea, Coordinator of Lovin’ Spoonful

We are currently witnessing a groundswell of activity around sustainable urban living throughout the world. Central to this is urban agriculture in all its forms from community gardens to urban greenhouses and markets; from backyard hens to urban bees.  In this talk we will explore how we can invite nature back into human environments and make human spaces a part of nature.  What is our vision?  What policies, programs and initiatives can we imagine to support this vision?  What can we learn from other urban communities?
