GHG Reduction Strategies

In many ways the GHG reduction strategies are the heart of a climate action plan, as they are the means by which our climate goals are achieved and emission levels begin to drop.  A range of strategies will be explored that include technology-based solutions, infrastructure updates, behavioral programs and policy changes.  These strategy options will be assessed based on a number of factors, including;

• GHG reduction potential
• Environmental & social impacts
• Visibility
• Feasibility & reliability
• Time frame to implement.
• Capital cost & return on investment
• Lifecycle cost
• Deferred maintenance applicability
