GHG Reduction Strategies

In many ways the GHG reduction strategies are the heart of a climate action plan, as they are the means by which our climate goals are achieved and emission levels begin to drop.  A range of strategies will be explored that include technology-based solutions, infrastructure updates, behavioral programs and policy changes.  These strategy options will be assessed based on a number of factors, including;

  • GHG reduction potential
  • Environmental & social impacts
  • Visibility
  • Feasibility & reliability
  • Time frame to implement.
  • Capital cost & return on investment
  • Lifecycle cost
  • Deferred maintenance applicability

You too can help by actively engaging in the development of our plan. Strategy ideas will be posted on our Facebook page for you to "Like" and discuss. This voting and discussion will play a role in the assessment of our strategies.
