Makeover challenge promotes new bottle-filling stations

October 11, 2012stationdressup.jpg

Several student and food service groups decorated bottle-filling stations on Thursday, October 11 to promote enhanced access to municipal drinking water on campus. People could vote for their favourite dressed up filling station for a chance to win a prize. The ban on the sale of bottled water on campus took effect September 1. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to fill up their reusable bottles at one of the nearly 60 filling stations or 130 traditional drinking fountains on campus.

Congratulations to Brown's for hosting the fan favorite dressed up bottle filling station. They presented a lovely autumn theme and had nifty bird feeders made from used plastic bottles.
