Project Timeline

2009-11:

In November 2009, the Principal and Vice-Principals Committee approved moving forward with the planning of a new teaching venue and provided initial planning funds for a teaching and learning building.

2010-06:

In June 2010, the University submitted the teaching building as the highest priority capital building requirement.

2010-10:

The submission was followed up in October 2010 by a presentation to the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities by the Vice-Principal (Finance and Administration), the Deputy Provost, the AVP Facilities and the University Registrar.

2010-12:

An anonymous donor provided $2.8 Million for planning funds, and in December 2010, the Campus Planning and Development Committee and the Board of Trustees approved the architect to develop detailed plans for The TLC.

2011:

The  Building Committee, chaired by Professor Jonathan Rose begins meeting in April 2011.  The work to finalize the teaching building plan is expected to continue until December 2012.
