What does the change look like?

Currently chartfields such as program or class with no values return blank spaces in your report. To filter on chartfields with no values you would need to enter 'N' in the filter box.

Once the change is completed, chartfields with null values will display '-' .

To filter on chartfields with no values you would need to enter '-' in the filter box.

How does this affect me?

If you have any pinned reports which filtered a chartfield using 'N' as a criteria you will need to change the filter and re-pin that report.

Why has the change been made?

Entering "N" into the filter box was not intuitive for users since the results displayed blanks, not "N". Now the report results and character to display null results match: - The change was also necessary to ensure the report results could drill down properly on supporting information.
