Marketing supports the university and its faculties and schools in building and enhancing Queen’s profile and brand, both nationally and internationally, by developing and stewarding strategic marketing programs consistent with university priorities.

Key service responsibilities to the campus include:
- Working with the university community in developing marketing programs and materials that support the university's Strategic Framework and faculty priorities. This includes strategy, project management, graphic design and production management (print publications, online, video), web development, and social media.
- Coordinating the university's various communications and marketing initiatives to multiple audiences and stakeholders to ensure integration and consistency with the Queen’s brand idea.
- Working with the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs, overseeing Queen's official trademarks to ensure they are adequately protected while generating maximum exposure and benefit for the university
- Ensuring Queen's Visual Identity standards are followed.
