8 January University Research Services Notice of Intent (NOI)
Please email diane.davies@queensu.ca indicating you intend to apply.  This will allow us to provide competition related information to you while you prepare your application. 
22 January  

Queen’s Research Services Internal Deadline
Internal deadline for administrative review. 
Insight Development Grant full applications must be completed and submitted to Research Services electronically via the SSHRC research portal. Research Services can return the application to the applicants for amendments.
 
Tools for Research At Queen’s (TRAQ)

A completed and approved TRAQ Awards Form is required by this date (click here for instructions). TRAQ has replaced the Data Summary and Signature (DSS) system. 

Commence the form a week in advance to allow for Department Head approval time.

5 February SSHRC Insight Development Grant Deadline
​All applications must be received by SSHRC. Applications are electronically forwarded to SSHRC by Research Services.

Insight Development Grants Tips and Updates


Peer Research Consultants

The Office of the Vice-Principal (Research) and University Research Services established the Queen’s social sciences, arts and humanities Peer Research Consultants program in 2015. Peer Research Consultants are faculty volunteers who receive up-to-date research information throughout the year from University Research Services and the Queen's SSHRC Leader. They assist colleagues in cognate areas in obtaining peer reviews of their proposals and in showcasing their research. We encourage you to contact the Peer Research Consultant for your cognate area. The list of Peer Research Consultants can be found here.


External Proposal Consultants

Some faculties and departments at Queen’s are supporting the use of external consultants to assist applicants in developing their proposals. External consultant costs are also eligible for professional expense reimbursement. These consultants primarily focus on effective grant writing, and are not discipline specialists or Queen’s employees. Canadian Common CV (CCV) Resources
