The following table summarizes 50 health funding opportunities that are restricted to New Investigators. Though the definition of a 'New Investigator' varies between funding agencies, most agencies define the term as a person who has taken up their first academic appointment within the past 5 years (or, less commonly, who have obtained their Ph.D. in the past 10 years).

This document is intended to serve primarily as a planning document because not all of the programs summarized below are currently open & accepting applications. Applicants can, however, use this table to identify possible sources of funding and plan submissions accordingly.
