Faculty Writing Retreat

Registration is open for the Queen's Faculty Writing Retreat for the busy scholar. A full day – comprising of brief panels and discussions mixed with long blocks of uninterrupted writing time – is free for registered participants, and includes lunch. Space is limited.

We encourage you to set this time aside to stimulate your creativity and to write. Proposal reviewers will be available for private one-on-one consultations.

Questions may be directed to Kelly Blair-Matuk or Leigh Cameron. Registration closes on November 25, 2016 or when all available spaces are filled – whichever comes first. This event is being coordinated by the Office of the Vice-Principal (Research).

Small group discussions about writing strategies and time management (optional)
8:45 am - 12:15 pm Quiet writing time*
Individual consultations with proposal advisors from URS
12:15 - 1:15 pm Lunch
1:15 - 3:30 pm Quiet writing time*
Individual consultations with proposal advisors from URS
3:30 - 4:00 pm Panel: Finding the right balance

4:00 - 5:00 pm The final push (optional quiet writing time)

*Individual consultation with University Research Services proposal advisors (Kristina Arseneau, Diane Davies, and Vera Kettnaker) occur during these writing times.
