The Office of the Vice-Principal (Research) is excited to announce a new suite of internal research awards, The Queen’s Research Opportunities Funds (QROF).

The QROF will replace the existing complement of Queen’s internal research awards. The existing programs were reviewed in 2014 based on a key recommendation of the Strategic Research Plan that proposed all internal research award programs align with Queen’s institutional priorities.

Developed in consultation with numerous stakeholders across campus, the QROF represents a strategic investment in areas of institutional research strength that will provide researchers and scholars opportunities to accelerate their programs and research goals. The QROF will provide up to $1 Million in research funding for the first year and a minimum of $500,000 in funding for subsequent years.

Below you will find buttons that will link to pages on each of the funds. On these pages you will find detailed descriptions of each fund, terms of reference, and application forms.

All members of the Queen’s University community are encouraged to consider applying for these funds, including members from equity-seeking groups such as women, racialized/visible minorities, Aboriginal peoples, persons with a disability, persons who identify in the LGBTQ+ community and others who reflect the diversity of Canadian society.
