Since 2007
B.A. (Honours English, University of Western Ontario); M.A. (English, University of Western Ontario); Ph.D. (English, Queen’s University).
My interdisciplinary dissertation, “‘The perennial dramas of the East’: Representations of the Middle East in the Writing and Art of Dante Gabriel Rossetti and William Holman Hunt,” combined literary criticism with art history. I have also taught several courses in the Department of English, including An Introduction to the Study of Literature in English, Selected Women Writers I, and Victorian Literature.
Because my professional life revolves around writing and reading (usually at a desk), I try to get outside as much as possible in my free time. My hobbies of cycling and running help with that goal. I am also devoted to frequent yoga practice and almost equally frequent vegan baking. I live in Kingston with my husband, Brandon, and our rescued orange tabby cat, Callie.
