I am a retired English teacher with two adult daughters, who are both teachers. My husband works for the federal government and is not yet retired. I was looking for some meaningful activity and being a tutor at the Writing Centre more than fulfills that goal. Working as a tutor provides intellectual stimulation as well as valuable social interaction with my fellow tutors – extremely important considerations when you find yourself sitting alone in an empty house!
