2019 - One Heat Down Two To Go

In the new Mitchell Hall Event Commons today, the Queen's community got the opportunity to hear about some of the fabulous research our graduate students are doing as part of the 3 Minute Thesis competition.  We had topics on neural networks and nanoparticles, a fungus on wheat, lots about bleeding, identity crisis, moral risks, and acting your age, to that perfect place to nest and what is an exam really for.  Talk about lots to actually talk about!

The judges were kept busy  - Sara Montgomery (Institutional Research & Planning), Cathy Keates (Career Services) and Sultan Amaljil (QUIC) as too were the audience who had to pick their "People's Choice".

This was heat 1 for the 2019 3MT competition.  Four (Nevena, Hannah, Matteo and Dan) will go on to the final next week (March 27th), along with four from each of the heats.
