Congratulations to all our participants

Thursday at 3pm the 3 Minute Thesis final Live stream started.  What resulted was an hours worth of incredible presentations from all our research based graduate students. With the help of Queen's Information Technology Services and Audio Visual Services, the School of Graduate Studies was able to host our very first virtual 3MT and with success.   From an event that is usually done in front of a live in person audience going virtual  certainly tested everyone's resilience.

Congratulations go to Alice Santilli (Computing) who took out first place and Sean Marrs (History) who was runner up.  Alice will represent Queen's at the Ontario 3MT of which we are still waiting to hear how that will work.  But all Ontario Universities are working hard to complete their own competitions.

Our judges today were Tom Holler, from CBC's Ideas.  Sophie Kiwala, former MPP for Kingston and the Islands and our own Associate Deans, James Reynolds and Betsy Donald.

Full details of all our participants can be found on this website.
