Glenn Willmott

Professor of English and Cultural Studies

I study and teach both avant-garde and popular culture, mainly of the early twentieth-century modernist period and of late twentieth-century and contemporary times—especially in literature, comics, and film. My most recent book is called Reading for Wonder: Ecology, Ethics, Enchantment.

What Projects Do I Supervise?

I am happy to consider project proposals in any of the above areas, as well as in conditions and effects of literary reading or wonder. I typically supervise undergraduate honours essays, graduate directed reading projects, MA and PhD theses.

I am open to research projects undertaken in traditional academic essay style and also in creative media. For more information about the latter, see my creative research guidelines.
