Queen's Summer Camps
Update on 2021 summer camp planning
Each summer, Queen’s hosts a wide range of enriching summer camps that are popular with children and families throughout the region, including camps run by student organizations, several faculties and departments, and Athletics & Recreation.
These in-person camps were all cancelled last year as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic, and work is now underway to determine what may be possible for camps on campus this summer.
Our Risk and Safety Services department is leading this effort and it is currently engaging with camp organizers across campus, as well as KFL&A Public Health, to determine what health and safety restrictions will likely still be in place in July and August, and what impact these will have on our ability to host any sizeable gatherings of children and camp staff on campus.
At the moment, no decisions have been made and it is our intention to share more details as soon as possible to assist parents and caregivers, as well as our campus partners, with planning for this year’s summer camp activity. These details will be posted on this Summer Camps webpage, as well as to the university’s social media channels once they are available. Questions can also be directed to the various camp organizations active on campus about what virtual options they may be considering this summer if in-person camps are not available.
A wide variety of camps for children of all ages are offered at Queen’s in spring and summer. From sports to geography, art, and eco-adventures — there is something for everyone.
Oversight: Only the camps listed on this website have been approved by the Queen’s Camp Compliance Oversight Group (CCOG). For more information, please refer to the university's Policies and Procedures for Activities Involving Minors or contact CCOG at camps@queensu.ca.
Please use the individual camp contacts for information on specific programs and application procedures.
