A new vision for the Human Rights and Equity Office at Queen’s

$1000 prize for the winner!

As many of you may have heard, the Human Rights Office and Equity Office have recently merged into one unit, the Human Rights and Equity Office (HREO). In celebration, we are revamping our online presence with the creation of a new website. The integration of our offices wouldn’t be complete without a logo that reflects the values that we hold so deeply.

We are inspired every day by the spirit of collaboration, which is why we are calling for artists and graphic designers to participate in a project to design our new logo. We are asking artists to draft an original idea of their interpretation/reflection of human rights and equity. We are looking for a piece that resonates with our community, and that represents the importance of principles such as Collaboration, Respect, Accountability and Integrity.

Interested artists can submit their proposals until March 10th, 2019 to equity@queensu.ca. The winner will be announced during the Human Rights and Equity Office Tri-Awards Celebration on March 19th, 2019. The individual or group that wins will receive a $1000 prize, and their art piece will be used as the Human Rights and Equity Office logo in different platforms, such as the website, social media, documents, and other branding elements.
