Given the events of this weekend, it seems fitting that this ALTogether Now newsletter is dedicated to saying congratulations and thank you to every one of you who participated, organized, and worked behind the scenes to pull off a very successful Homecoming.

This effort was a true team collaboration — months in the making — that showcased the very best that Queen’s alumni, students, and academics have to offer.  Laughter, serious dialogue, intriguing conversation, amazing chats, and a few competitive games of Kahoot! later, we want you all to feel proud of what you have accomplished. Producing an interactive, engaging Homecoming that demonstrates the true spirit of Queen’s — and in a completely virtual space — is a testament to what this team can do when we all work together to leverage each other’s skills, abilities, and ideas.

We recognize that an event like Homecoming is not possible without the support of every person in Advancement. Whether you were logistical support, generated content, kept the software from glitching; whether you devised strategy or executed strategy, put forward alumni names or liaised with academic partners; whether you keep projects on time and budget, wrote briefing notes, developed the creatives or took on an extra load of work from a colleague responsible for delivering on aspects of Homecoming; you helped make this year’s Homecoming a success.

Normally, we write this ALTogether Now newsletter separately, but for this celebration of team accomplishment, there was no other way than to say “thank you” together. We are grateful to work with each and every one of you to advance the mission of this remarkable institution in partnership with incredible students, alumni, donors, and academics. Cha Gheill.
