Karen, Artsci'94, began her term as Vice-Principal (Advancement) in 2018, but she got her first taste of working in fundraising as a student caller in the Queen’s call centre.
After graduation, she began an 11-year career at the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Guelph. She then joined the University of Guelph in 2006 where she worked her way up to become Associate Vice-President, Major Gift Advancement.
She now leads the Office of Advancement which is focused on building relationships with volunteers and donors that benefit the university, Canada, and the world.
