Join us for our semi-annual luncheon to hear distinguished speakers Margaret Gillis, Artsci’81, and Peggy Edwards discuss aging and activism, the major issues affecting older persons, and what is currently being done to protect their rights on the international, national, and local levels.

We will also discuss the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Older Persons, and where Canada is in regards to supporting the Convention.

About the Speakers:

  • Ms. Edwards is a well-known local “aging activist,” author, speaker on age-friendly communities, and has worked with Ottawa’s Council on Aging.
