Join your fellow Calgary alumni for an interactive wine-tasting experience on Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 5 pm (MST). During this exclusive online event, you will enjoy Noble Ridge wine from the comfort of your own home while connecting with fellow alumni from Calgary, participate in a guided tasting led by an Alberta wine expert, and have an opportunity to chat with a special guest, Queen's Principal Patrick Deane.

This event is limited to those of legal drinking age.


Wine & Charcuterie Package

*Deadline to register for this package has passed. However, any Calgary alumni are welcome to register and participate in the event even without the wine and charcuterie.

Package includes:

  • Two bottles of wine from Noble Ridge Vineyard & Winery
  • Charcuterie from RGE RD with house-cured meat, cheese, pickles, and house-made crackers vacuum sealed for freshness. RGE RD is known as one of Canada's best restaurants and sources the finest ingredients from farms and small-scale producers in Alberta.

Cost for alumni: $45
Special pricing: only $20.20 for 2020 graduates | $35 for alumni who graduated in 2010-2019.

Register by end of day Thursday, Nov. 26 to receive your wine and charcuterie package delivered to your door in time for the event.

Note: Due to the nature of virtual events, we are unable to accommodate different dietary needs for charcuterie at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope you’ll be able to enjoy the wine with us.

About the wine tasting

Gurvinder BhatiaGurvinder Bhatia is a wine editor for Quench, wine columnist for Global Television, an international wine judge, and the president of Vinomania Consulting. He was the founder of Vinomania wine boutique for over 20 years, which was recognized as one of the 20 best wine stores in Canada. In 2015, Gurvinder was named by Alberta Venture Magazine as one of Alberta’s 50 Most Influential People. Gurvinder believes that wine and food get their context from people, place, culture, and history. He is passionate about quality, independent producers from around the world whose wines have a sense of place and tell a story of where they are grown.

 

 

Leslie and Jim D'AndreaWe’re partnering with Noble Ridge Vineyard & Winery in the Okanagan Valley, a Canadian business owned and operated by Queen’s alumni, Jim and Leslie D'Andrea. Noble Ridge is growing wines that can stand with the best in the world and are receiving international accolades and attracting global attention.
