Join us in-person on Queen's campus to celebrate the success of the Jim Leech Mastercard Foundation Fellowship on Entrepreneurship (JLMCF) finalists and promote the next generation of African entrepreneurs!
The JLMCF is for African students and recent graduates who want to solve pressing problems and bring entrepreneurial ideas to life. Fellows participate in multiple rounds of competition and receive non-dilutive seed funding to further progress their venture along with coaching from the Dunin-Deshpande Queen's Innovation Centre (DDQIC) team and members of the global network. In only three years, JLMCF has been tackling underemployment in Africa by training over 3,800 students across 49 countries and 276 universities in entrepreneurial skills and awarding over $117,000 CAD to African founders and their ventures.
After eight months of rigorous training, mentorship and customer validation, the top 15 fellows of the 2024 launch phase will compete in this final pitch competition for a prize pool of $20,000 CAD in seed funding.
