Smith - Turning the Great Resignation into the Great Adaptation

Virtual event

COVID-19 continues to be a dynamic rollercoaster of adjustment for employers and employees alike, and for many, has resulted in workplaces whose workforce and operational management function very differently than they did pre-pandemic. This time in history has been coined “The Great Resignation”, but it offers a silver lining of accelerated adaption not seen in decades. In this event, we consider what lessons and opportunities this period of rapid change has presented, and how businesses can best leverage these to adapt successfully into the post-pandemic economy.

Join Smith Alumni Chapters Calgary and Vancouver for a panel discussion moderated by Dr. Matthias Spitzmuller, Associate Professor & Distinguished Professor of Organizational Behavior at Smith School of Business, to hear perspectives from Humaira Ghiacy, BCom’09, Human Resources Professional, Kaanesh (Nash) Ghosh, MIR’14, HR Manager at Amazon and Hayley Rushford, BCom’15, a Calgary employment lawyer, as they discuss how businesses and employees are navigating the pandemic era and developing the new normal in organizational change, operations, and workplace culture.
