FAS alumnus Greg Vanclief takes the helm as Elentra’s new CEO

After 24 years with Wesley Clover, one of Canada’s leading private, global investment management firms and holding companies, Greg Vanclief has departed to take on the role of Chief Executive Officer at Elentra, one of the rising stars in the educational technology space, focused on providing a complete platform for health sciences education.

The move to Elentra is also a bit of a homecoming for Vanclief. He holds a BA in Political Science and a Master of Business Administration from Queen’s University. Elentra began its development as a learning management system for that university’s Faculty of Health Sciences before it was adopted and developed by an ever-growing network of universities.

“I am excited to get started,” Greg explains. “There is much for us to do as we build our business and establish our brand as a market-leading provider of educational technology on the international stage. There is so much this platform has to offer. I can’t wait to join this team and help to take Elentra to new heights.”

Greg brings deep experience in helping startups reach their potential, having worked with, and nurtured over 100 firms while at Wesley Clover.

“The education technology space is rapidly evolving, and Elentra is poised to capitalize on that momentum. First, the capabilities of cloud computing allow us to deliver exciting new capabilities and features to the advanced education community globally. Second, Elentra has a substantial existing client base with premier post-secondary institutions using our solutions worldwide today. Institutions have put their faith and trust in our platform. That speaks volumes to the value and power of the solution that Elentra provides and gives us a solid foundation upon which we can build as we rapidly scale up.”
