Dean's Changemaker Challenge

Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Science Barbara Crow

The Dean's Changemaker Challenge has been postponed. It will be rescheduled for a later date.
This decision has been made thinking of the health, safety, and well-being of our community, both on-campus and off, and in close consultation with Public Health. Everyone’s health and safety is our top priority.

Make some changes around here! Share your ideas with Dean Barbara Crow!

Visit our booth in Mac-Corry Student Street, which will be located near the cafeteria, to participate in a thought exchange. All you need to do is drop by – snacks will be provided and you’ll be entered into a draw to win a bag of Queen’s swag!

We challenge you to tell us what needs to change to improve the student experience in Arts and Science. We have developed courses that will help turn your ideas into reality!

Our new Dean’s Changemaker Challenge courses will be available for September, 2020. They will provide the tools and support to create the change you want to see happen.

The Dean’s Changemaker Challenge is a hands-on learning opportunity for you and other undergraduate students from across the Faculty to collaborate to make meaningful changes that will improve the environment and experience here in Arts and Science.

The skills you’ll learn through the Dean’s Changemaker Challenge will serve you beyond your experience here at Queen’s. You’ll gain in-demand skills including leadership, project management, and entrepreneurship.

FAS is making changes. We started by launching our first ever Strategic Plan this fall and the Dean’s Changemaker Challenges is one of the initiatives outlined in our plan. Now it’s your turn to help us implement it and other initiatives to support our strategic priorities of Enriching the Student Experience, Transforming our Spaces, and Supporting our People.
