Course Registration

It’s that time of year again – course registration! Believe it or not, there are some tips and tricks to make this process less daunting.

Figure out SOLUS. If this is your first time registering for courses, the online system can be confusing to say the least. Check out this link from the Registrar’s Office for a systematic, step-by-step breakdown of the process (with screenshots!). And don’t forget, to register for online courses you need to change the “course career” to read “Undergraduate Online.”

Do your research. Before you can register for classes, you need to know which classes you are going to select. You should always read the course descriptions so that you know what you’re in for when classes start.

Know your requirements. If you are registered in a degree program or certificate, you should also have a look at your academic requirements report in SOLUS. This report will tell you what classes you have already completed to count towards your degree, and what classes you have left.

Register. Finally, make sure you register within the enrolment period, which is from now until August 3rd! You will have another chance to make changes to your schedule during open enrolment beginning on August 21st.

Best of luck with course selection!
