A campus of Queen’s University situated at historic Herstmonceux Castle in East Sussex, the Bader International Study Centre was founded in 1993 thanks to a generous donation by Queen’s alumni Drs. Alfred and Isabel Bader. The Bader International Study Centre aims to be a dynamic, inclusive community. Learning, through both our academic and commercial activities, is at the heart of our efforts. Our diverse membership of Canadian, British and international scholars and staff welcome visitors to a range of academic, cultural and recreational events. We are an innovative institution situated in an historic setting, inspiring all who engage with our community to develop and foster our values in the world.
All our courses are offered through Queen’s University, and can be used as credit towards Queen’s degree programs. Visiting students from other universities are also encouraged to come and take our courses – these can be readily transferred back to your home university. For full details, please visit our Admissions and Academics pages on this website for full details of the programs available and how to apply.
We also welcome many visitors to Herstmonceux Castle each year to visit our gardens and grounds, attend academic conferences, special events and community activities. Please visit the Herstmonceux Castle Enterprises website for full details on the non-academic services available at the Castle
