Academics at the BISC

2019 DryA return to in-person learning means students will benefit from a graduate-style level of contact with our experienced faculty. Be more than just a number in a Zoom call! With average class sizes of just fourteen, you will feel fully engaged as you debate at length and critically discuss your subjects with your classmates and professors.

This Fall, classrooms and labs will only have classes assigned that meet the maximum safe occupancy threshold. Students will be expected to wear masks or face coverings, if required, and social distancing measures must be maintained.

Students who are ill, or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms should not attend class in person.

In the unlikely event of a new lockdown being introduced in the UK, all BISC classes will pivot to online delivery while a feasibility review is conducted by the BISC and Queen’s University.

As will be the case at Bader Hall, hand sanitiser dispensers will be located throughout the Castle for students to use, as well as cleaning supplies for students to wipe down high touch points and surfaces. Our Housekeeping staff will provide an increased service, but we expect all students in the BISC Bubble to play their part in keeping their community safe.
