Students are strongly encouraged to be fully vaccinated by the time of their arrival at the start of the Fall 2021 term. All BISC students will be able to access local NHS services as part of their study visa, including COVID-19 vaccine jabs.
Students should ensure that their travel insurance provides coverage for COVID-19 related treatment, and we recommend that students review the AMS Health and Travel Plan that is included in the BISC fee structure to ensure this meets your personal health and wellness needs.
Any students experiencing COVID-19 symptoms at any time will be required to self-isolate in their room at Bader Hall, notify the Student Services staff, and then follow the procedure for testing through the UK’s NHS.
In the unlikely event of a new lockdown being implemented by the UK Government, a feasibility review will be conducted by BISC and Queen’s University to assess how the remainder of the term will be conducted, and if necessary, students will be restricted to the Castle estate. The BISC also reserves the right to impose a tightening of our social-distancing and socialisation rules in response to this scenario, to safeguard the health of all students, staff and faculty.
