Upper Year Programs

Have you completed at least one year of university? Are you looking to study abroad? The BISC offers six programs with over 60 courses for students in Arts and Science, Commerce, Engineering, Health Studies, Liberal Arts, Social Science and more.

A collegiate atmosphere defines the BISC's campus which houses up to 175 students. In this close-knit community, you will study alongside students in a variety of disciplines. There are plenty of opportunities to become involved, participate in networking events, and enjoy guest lectures from a variety of engaging speakers. Campus services including a library, gym, and student resources are located onsite.

And with excellent transport nearby you’ll be well-placed to discover the local area, London, the UK, and Europe.

  • Small class sizes: Average class size of 10 students
  • Course offerings are international in scope and interdisciplinary in nature
  • International student body, with participants from Japan, South Korea, USA, China and elsewhere
  • Primary and secondary research in many programs
  • Graduate-style contact with faculty
  • No credit transfer required for Queen's students as all courses are Queen's University courses; external students will require a Letter of Permission to transfer credits
  • Programs open to all students currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at an accredited university who have completed one year of study

Archaeology Summer 2021

Archaeology Field School

Take CLST 408/6.0 Archaeology Fieldwork Practicum plus an optional 3.0 credit course during our six week summer term. Join a brand new dig at the site of the Castle's Gamekeeper's Lodge (built circa 1440).

Specialised Program in International Law and Politics

Explore international criminal law and the law of armed conflict in this unique program. This focussed experience can only be achieved by studying abroad.

Field School in Medieval Performance Studies 2022

Take part in this 3-week, 2-course program, culminating in performances at England's largest medieval festival. Students will explore a range of dramatic works from the Medieval period in England.
