First Year
First Year students will register with the National Health Service during Orientation. Registration will be conducted by staff from the Herstmonceux Integrated Health Clinic (doctor’s office) in Herstmonceux village. You will be asked to complete a new patient questionnaire but you are not required to answer any questions you do not wish to. Once registered you will be able to access the doctor’s office and hospital services.
Please note you will not be registered with a specific dentist. To access a dentist you may have to pay for private care. The session will also explain how to access the NHS.
Upper Year
Upper Year students will learn how to access health services but will not be registered with the NHS as they are here for less than 6 months.
See the Staying Healthy section for more information about health services at the BISC and the NHS.
