    First Years can spend a full year at the castle in our Arts, Science, or Con-Ed streams. Upper Years can take advantage of our course clusters in the Fall, Summer, or Winter terms.

This course offers a basic level of Spanish understanding, speaking, reading and writing for students who have no previous knowledge of this language, thus, the contents of the course are those of an elementary level (A)

Available in Fall 2018.

Learning outcomes

By means of a teaching methodology, which includes the development of a student portfolio, group dynamics, implementation of linguistic skills, introduction and practice of vocabulary and introductory sessions of Spanish culture, the students will:

  • Develop knowledge and appreciation for Spanish language, whilst familiarizing with specific vocabulary.
  • Develop learning and communication strategies
  • Acquire communicative competencies linked to social & cultural issues referred to the Spanish speaker.
