Benjamin (Benn) Fisher is a Graduate Student at the Queen's School of Policy Studies in the Master of Public Administration Program. Benn proudly represents Northern Ontario and his home community of Sault Ste. Marie. In 2022, Benn earned his Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree from Queen's University in History and Political Studies and concurrently completed an Undergraduate Certificate in Law. Having previously worked with the CIDP under the Canadian Defence and Security Network portfolio, he is excited to begin his fellowship and continue to learn from the exciting and empowering individuals who make up the Centre. His research areas have previously focussed on neoliberalism, structural adjustment, authoritarianism, democratization and security issues in the Global South. Through his fellowship, he will now focus on conflict prevention and assessment while working on policy analysis through the MPA program. Benn has recently published a conference report with the Canadian Global Affairs Institute and serves as a Consultant with the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Washington, DC.
