Marianne Bouchard is a graduate student at Queen's University at Kingston, Ontario, Canada, where she pursues Political Science and Gender Studies. Her research focuses on gender dimensions of peacekeeping, with a special reference to 1990s Canadian peacekeeping missions. At the CIDP, Marianne is a Research Assistant to Professor Stéfanie von-Hlatky, Principal Investigator at the CIDP Gender Lab. She is a recipient of the Joseph Armand Bombardier Scholarship. Marianne is also a Second Lieutenant in the Canadian Armed Forces and graduated from the Royal Military of Canada with two honours degrees in Military and Strategic Studies and French, Literature and Culture. She is co-chair of the Armed Forces and Society working group of the International Society for Military Science (ISMS), a member of Women in International Society Canada (WIIS-Canada), and a collaborator for the French literature monthly, Nuit Blanche.
