Rethinking the Future of Work: Law, Technology, and Economic Citizenship

Brishen Rogers, Associate Professor of Law at Temple University Beasley School of Law

Stunning developments in advanced information technologies have sparked a wide-ranging public debate about the future of work. Prof. Rogers will survey some of the key technological developments, argue that existing debate is too focused on automation and the gig economy, and suggest a set of labor and employment law reforms that can encourage better work without hampering innovation.

Brishen published a recent piece in the Boston Review which foreshadows some of the arguments he will be making during his lecture.
