Together We Are is a positive community of people celebrating equity, diversity and inclusion in the Queen’s and broader Kingston community. Together We Are is a safe and collaborative space where dialogue and discussion can occur. Together We Are is for the passionate, the curious and anyone looking to join a positive, community of people committed to diversity, equity and inclusion.
Throughout the course of 2015-2016, you will hear from eight different blog contributors. These contributors are from all walks of life and represent a diversity of experiences. During this year you will hear from Queen’s faculty, staff, students (undergraduate and graduate), and a Queen’s alumnus. Each month check-in to see what our latest blog contributor has to say on the topics of equity, diversity and inclusion. If the suspense of who our bloggers are is simply too much, check out our contributors’ profile page for the full listing of Together We Are bloggers.
To launch the blog, we have invited Michael Bach, Founder & CEO of the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI) to be our inaugural guest blogger. Michael is a longtime advocate and leader in the fields of diversity, equity and inclusion. We are incredibly excited and grateful that he has decided to lend his voice to this initiative.
Without further ado, happy reading!
Oh and don’t forget, YOU are part of this conversation as well. Together We Are all part of the Queen’s and broader Kingston community and therefore your comments and feedback are welcomed.
