The university and the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) Local 452 have reached a tentative collective agreement. Details of the agreement will remain confidential until both parties ratify it.
The parties met for collective bargaining on March 8, 9, and 10, and were able to secure a tentative agreement without the services of a conciliation officer. The OPSEU, Local 452, and Queen’s Family Health Team at Queen’s University collective agreement expired on June 30, 2015.
The Human Resources Committee of the Board of Trustees also recently ratified the renewal agreement between the university and the Ontario Nurses’ Association, Local 67, which is effective April 1, 2014 to March 31, 2017.
The university values the contributions of its many employees and remains committed to the collective bargaining process.
