Queen’s University and CUPE Local 229 reach tentative agreement

The University and the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 229 reached a tentative agreement to renew their collective agreement late in the evening on December 8, 2021. The tentative collective agreement is subject to ratification by both the university and the bargaining unit.

The university and CUPE Local 229 have been actively engaged in negotiations to renew their collective agreement since June 2021. Details of the tentative collective agreement will remain confidential until both parties ratify the agreement.
