Back-up Gradebook

Before making grade adjustments always take a back-up of the grade book.

  1. Select Grades from the Assessments drop-down.
  2. Click on Enter Grades at the top of the page.
  3. Click the Export button at the top left, you will be re-directed to the Export Grades page.
  4. Select the Key Field, Grade Values, and User Details you wish to include.
  5. Check the boxes corresponding to the Grade Items you wish to export.
  6. Click the Export to CSV button for a Comma Separated Values file (Do Not Use Excel).
  7. A pop-up will appear with a link to download the file.
  8. Click Close once you have downloaded the file.

Redistribute/Reweigh Grades

IMPORTANT: When re-weighting grades never change the numeric value of the grade as you will compress your grades.  If you are unsure how to proceed seek advice.

  1. In the navbar, select Grades under the Assessment tab. You will be redirected to the Manage Grades page.
  2. Next to the Grade you want to re-weight click the black arrow and select Edit.
  3. You will be redirected to the Grade Item page.
  4. Scroll down until you see Grading and the Weight field.
  5. Adjust the grade weight value to the new amount that will be used during final grade calculations.
  6. Click Save and Close.
