Best Practices

  • Inform your students about Academic Integrity and what it means to Queen’s University. Be aware that some students may have different ideas of what academic integrity means because of possible cultural and pedagogical differences.
  • Notify students that you intend to us Turnitin in your course by adding the Student Statement to the course syllabus and onQ. 
  • Assist students in using Turnitin by referring them to Turnitin documentation.

Description
Turnitin Turnitin is a text matching tool used at Queen's University. Students upload papers in order to receive originality reports that shows text matches to the following sources: Student paper repository Current and archived web site content Periodicals, journals and publications.  Turnitin is only available to use through the Assignments tool inonQ.
