Kelsey Watt


My research focuses on both literal and semiotic representations of human-animal relationships within and beyond the domestic sphere in Victorian literature, particularly, how Derrida’s theory of the animal in his larger body of work posits a phenomenon of animal ontology that rejects anthropocentric viewpoints of the “modern” world.
