Submit a question to the NASA Education Downlink

Queen’s has been granted the special opportunity to host an Education Downlink with Dr. Andrew (Drew) Feustel, PhD’95 (Geological Sciences), aboard the International Space Station (ISS).

On March 21, 2018, Dr. Feustel will launch from Kazakhstan in the Soyuz spacecraft on NASA’s next space voyage, ISS Expedition 55/56, to take over as Commander of the ISS. Dr. Feustel will serve as Flight Engineer on Expedition 55 and as Commander of Expedition 56. The Education Downlink will allow us to speak live with Dr. Feustel aboard the ISS.

This event will broadcast on NASA TV.

Terms and conditions:

  • Only one question allowed per submission.
  • Questions must be submitted by individuals only (not groups).
  • We will not accept questions submitted by companies, associations, or brand affiliations.
  • You must be 18 years or older, or specific consent from your parent or guardian must be provided.
  • You must be available and willing to attend the April 6 event at Grant Hall, Queen’s University, from 10 am–1 pm* in person to ask your question live during the downlink.
    *Time to be determined by NASA and announced at a later date.
  • All submissions must be received by March 19, 11:59 pm EST.

Questions will be adjudicated and chosen by University Relations and NASA. If your question is selected, you will be contacted by Queen’s Marketing and given further instructions.
