INSTRUCTIONS: Complete the entire form below. The supporting documents required as part of the application for the KGU Global Career Seminar (e.g. program application form, signed Statement of Understanding and Code of Conduct, unofficial transcript from SOLUS, copy of passport, 3cm by 4cm passport photo) should be submitted to the International Programs Office (IPO), B206 Mackintosh-Corry Hall as soon as possible. Students must include their name and student number on all supporting documents.

  • Completed Application for Cross-Cultural College CP Core Courses 
  • Signed CCC Statement of Understanding
  • Initialed CCC Code of Conduct
  • A copy of your unofficial academic transcript printed from your SOLUS account
  • A photocopy of your passport
  • 3cm x 4 cm passport photo

THE DEADLINE TO APPLY FOR OPTION ONE (Global Career Seminar in Japan​) HAS BEEN EXTENDED! To apply for the Global Career Seminar (GCS) summer program students must complete the required documents and bring them into the International Programs Office as soon as possible.

Statement of Understanding

I, the undersigned, understand fully and clearly that, for the Queen's University-KGU CCC Global Career Seminar program and the Global Internship in Japan, the following conditions apply:

  1. The information recorded in the Personal Information and Academic Background section of the application form will be used only to determine accommodation arrangements (and potentially for statistical analysis). None of the information received will impact students' eligibility for the program.
  2. Tuition fees are to be paid to Queen's PRIOR to commencement of the program. Payment of these fees is subject to the same methods, payment deadlines and penalties as if the student were on campus during the equivalent academic term(s).
  3. Students are expected to complete their Queen's degree requirements in order to graduate from Queen's University.
  4. Students are responsible for obtaining the necessary immigration documentation as required.
  5. Students are reminded that while on the program they are subject to the rules and regulations of the partner university and host country. Students who violate the rules and regulations may be subject not only to penalties of the host university and country but also to those of the Queen's University Student Code of Conduct.
  6. Transfer of credit for academics completed on the KGU CCC Certificate Programs will be granted only for courses approved by the International Programs Office by way of an International Letter of Permission. Credit will be given only for Queen's-approved courses successfully completed at the host university. To transfer credit to Queen's, a student must obtain a passing final grade in each course, equivalent to at least a C grade at Queen's, unless otherwise stated by the Faculty of Arts and Science.
  7. While on the program there is mandatory attendance for all students at lectures and trips included in the program of instruction; exceptions will be granted only with formal permission.
  8. Study on an exchange falls under Queen's University's Off-Campus Activity Safety Policy (OCASP). As such an undergraduate student must complete the OCASP Safety Planning Record (SPR) “High risk” process prior to the expected date of departure. If the student does not complete this mandatory preparation prior to departure, the Letter of Permission (LOP) will be withdrawn.
  9. I authorize Queen's University to release my Queen's University academic record to the selection committee.

Privacy Information: The personal information on this form is collected under the authority of the Royal Charter of 1841, as amended, the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities Act, and the Federal Statistics Act. The information collected will be used in the KGU CCC application process and to communicate with you. This information may be shared with Kwansei Gakuin University, the host faculty, school or department, Queen's Office of the University Registrar and with the Queen's University International Centre. The information contained in your record may also be shared with other offices at Queen's University in order to facilitate your program.
